Kesium may only be supplied with a valid veterinary prescription issued by your vet. You should only purchase Kesium if you have or are in the process of arranging such a prescription. See information bar for further details.

Kesium is a broad spectrum antibiotic which is active against a wide range of bacterial infections in dogs and cats. Kesium can be used for infections of the mouth, gastro intestinal tract, respiratory system, urinary system or skin. Kesium is also effective in treating infected wounds.

Kesium is used for the treatment of infections caused by β lactamase producing strains of bacteria sensitive to amoxicillin in combination with clavulanic acid and where clinical experience and/or sensitivity testing indicates the product as the drug of choice.

Do not use Kesium in animals with known hypersensitivity to penicillins or other susbstances of the β-lactam group or to any excipients.
Do not use Kesium in animals with serious dysfunction of the kidneys accompanied by anuria and oliguria.
Do not administer Kesium to gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits and chinchillas. Do not use Kesium Tablets in horses and ruminating animals.
Do not use Kesium where resistance to this combination is known to occur.
In pregnant and lactating animals, use Kesium Tablets only according to the benefit/risk assessment by the responsible veterinarian.
Any divided tablet portions of Kesium 50 mg, 62.5 mg and 500 mg remaining after 12 hours should be discarded.
Any divided tablet portions of Kesium 250 mg and 625 mg remaining after 36 hours should be discarded.
