Epilepsy in Dogs - Nutritional Supplements
Each year, around 100,000 dogs are diagnosed with epilepsy in the UK alone (around 1 in 130 dogs). In fact, epilepsy is the most common chronic neurological disorder in dogs.
Epilepsy is a chronic condition in which the brain's normal electrical activity becomes disturbed, leading to a surge of uncontrolled electrical activity that produces seizures. These usually occur during sleep (when the dog is resting peacefully) or when it is very active. A seizure may last from a few seconds to several minutes and may involve loss of consciousness and convulsions.
Epilepsy Supplements for Dogs are no substitute for medication, but your Vet may recommend them alongside your dog's treatment.
