50mg Cephacare is a semi-synthetic bactericidal antibiotic belonging to the cephalosporin group which acts by interference with bacterial cell wall formation. 50mg Cephacare is active against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The following micro-organisms have been shown to be sensitive to cefalexin in vitro: Staphylococcus spp (including penicillin-resistant strains) Streptococcus spp Corynebacterium spp Pasteurella multocida Escherichia coli Micrococcus spp Moraxella spp. Cefalexin is resistant to the action of staphylococcal penicillinase and is therefore active against the strains of Staphylococcus aureus that are insensitive to penicillin (or related antibiotics such as ampicillin or amoxycillin) because of production of penicillinase. 50mg Cephacare is also active against the majority of ampicillin-resistant E.coli. Indications in dogs Treatment of infections of the respiratory tract gastro-intestinal tract urogenital tract the skin and localised infections in soft tissue caused by bacteria sensitive to cefalexin. Indications in cats Treatment of infections of the respiratory tract urogenital tract the skin and localised infections in soft tissue caused by bacteria sensitive to cefalexin.

Dosage and administration
For oral administration. 50mg Cephacare flavour tablets have a break mark on one side. To enable more accurate dosing half tablets may be used as necessary. Tablets may also be added to food if necessary. To avoid underdosing the bodyweight should be accurately determined. In the case of an allergic reaction treatment should be withdrawn. The administration of cefalexin has been shown to produce no serious side-effects at many times the recommended dose rate. As with other antibiotics which are excreted mainly by the kidneys unnecessary accumulation may occur in the body when renal function is impaired. In cases of known renal insufficiency the dose should be reduced antimicrobials known to be nephrotoxic should not be administered concurrently and the product should be used only according to a risk/benefit assessment by the responsible veterinarian. The safety of the product has not been demonstrated in studies in pregnant or lactating dogs and cats. Use only in accordance with a risk/benefit assessment by the responsible veterinarian. Transient episodes of soft faeces and vomiting have been observed in cats when given products containing cefalexin. Treatment should be discontinued if vomiting and diarrhoea develop. Vomiting has been observed occasionally in dogs when given products containing cefalexin. Protexin Pro-Fibre for Dogs – Digestive Health Support

Protexin Pro-Fibre for Dogs is a dietary supplement formulated to enhance canine digestive health. It combines high-quality sources of soluble and insoluble fibres with prebiotics and probiotics to maintain a balanced gut environment. Regular use supports normal digestive function, promotes firm stools, and encourages overall well-being in dogs.

How Protexin Pro-Fibre for Dogs Works

Protexin Pro-Fibre operates through a synergistic blend of ingredients that collectively support gastrointestinal health:

  • Soluble and Insoluble Fibres: The supplement contains natural fibre sources, including psyllium husk and sugar beet pulp. Soluble fibres dissolve in water, forming a gel-like substance that aids in slowing digestion and enhancing nutrient absorption. Insoluble fibres add bulk to the stool, facilitating regular bowel movements and preventing constipation.

  • Prebiotics (Preplex®): Prebiotics are non-digestible compounds that serve as nourishment for beneficial gut bacteria. The inclusion of Preplex® prebiotic in Pro-Fibre fosters the growth of these advantageous microorganisms, thereby supporting a healthy intestinal flora balance.

  • Probiotics: These are live beneficial bacteria that, when ingested, colonise the gut and aid in maintaining an optimal microbial balance. The probiotics in Pro-Fibre help replenish and sustain healthy bacterial populations, which are essential for efficient digestion and immune function.

Pro-Kolin Advanced for Dogs

Pro-Kolin Advanced for Dogs is a carefully formulated supplement designed to support digestive health in dogs of all breeds and sizes. It is often recommended when dogs experience disturbances in their digestive system, such as loose stools, changes in appetite, or imbalances in gut flora. By combining probiotics, prebiotics, and supportive ingredients, Pro-Kolin Advanced helps maintain a balanced intestinal environment and encourages normal digestive function.

How Pro-Kolin Advanced Works

The digestive system in dogs relies on a healthy balance of bacteria within the gut. Factors such as changes in diet, stress, travel, illness, or the use of antibiotics can disrupt this balance. When the natural environment of the gut is disturbed, it can lead to digestive upset.

Pro-Kolin Advanced works by providing a blend of beneficial bacteria known as probiotics. These probiotics colonise the gut and help restore the natural balance of microflora. In addition, the product contains prebiotics, which serve as food for the beneficial bacteria. By encouraging the growth of good bacteria, prebiotics support the resilience and stability of the digestive system.

The formulation also includes kaolin and pectin, which help coat and soothe the gut lining. This protective action supports the normal function of the gastrointestinal tract during periods of upset. Together, these ingredients work to restore digestive balance and maintain consistent stool quality in dogs.

ProKolin contains:

  • Probiotics: Live microorganisms that help repopulate and stabilise the gut flora.
  • Prebiotics: Nutritional compounds that stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria.
  • Kaolin and Pectin: Natural substances that provide a soothing effect on the intestinal lining.
  • Beta-glucans: Support the immune system and help the body respond to challenges.

Nutrabio Paste for Dogs and Cats – Veterinary Strength Digestive Support

Nutrabio Paste for Dogs and Cats is a veterinary-formulated probiotic supplement designed to support and maintain normal digestive function in pets. It combines a carefully balanced mix of probiotics, prebiotics, kaolin, and natural extracts to help restore gut health and improve stool consistency during times of digestive upset or imbalance.

Digestive disturbances in pets can occur for many reasons, including dietary changes, stress, illness, antibiotic use, or environmental factors. When the balance of beneficial bacteria in the digestive system is disrupted, pets may experience diarrhoea, soft stools, flatulence, or a general decline in gut health. Nutrabio Paste is developed to help rebalance the gut microbiome and support the recovery of healthy digestive activity.

How Nutrabio Paste Works

Nutrabio Paste contains a blend of active ingredients that work together to restore digestive stability in both dogs and cats.

  • Probiotics: The paste delivers a concentrated dose of beneficial bacteria. These live microorganisms colonise the gut and help displace harmful bacteria that can contribute to digestive problems. By supporting the natural bacterial population, probiotics promote healthier digestion and more consistent stool formation.
  • Prebiotics: The paste also contains prebiotic fibres, which act as a food source for the good bacteria in the gut. This encourages the growth of the pet’s own beneficial microbes, helping to strengthen the internal environment and maintain long-term gut balance. Kaolin: Kaolin is a natural clay that helps to bind and absorb excess fluid in the intestines. This can lead to firmer stools in pets experiencing diarrhoea or loose bowel movements.
  • Kaolin also provides a gentle coating to the intestinal lining, offering further support to pets with upset stomachs.
  • Natural Extracts: Nutrabio Paste includes plant-based ingredients such as sweet basil extract, which contributes to overall digestive comfort and helps calm the stomach. These additions support the body’s natural mechanisms for digestive regulation.
  • Palatable Base: The paste is flavoured to encourage voluntary acceptance, even in fussy pets. It is easy to administer directly by mouth or can be mixed into food. The included syringe allows precise control over dosing based on the animal’s weight and condition.
