Nutravet Nutramind for Dogs & Cats

Nutramind is a nutritional supplement formulated for dogs and cats to support brain health, cognitive function and mental sharpness. It is especially appropriate for older pets showing signs of decline, but also for younger animals during learning phases, training or behaviour change. The product employs natural, ethically sourced ingredients in capsules designed to be easy to administer, whole or mixed with food.

How Nutramind Works

Nutramind works by supplying nutrients that are essential for neuronal health, neurotransmitter production and antioxidant protection. The active ingredients are:

  • Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA and EPA) derived from refined fish oils (from ocean sardines). These are refined via a multi-step process to improve purity, removing heavy metals and unwanted contaminants. DHA supports brain cell membrane integrity, synaptic function, and the formation of dendritic spines. EPA contributes to controlling inflammation.
  • Phosphatidylserine: a fat-soluble compound naturally present in high concentrations in brain tissue. It is involved in maintaining cell membrane fluidity and signalling, which assists cognitive function.
  • Ginkgo biloba extract: acts as an antioxidant and supports natural anti-inflammatory processes in the brain. Ginkgo helps in maintaining memory ability and may assist in tolerance to mild hypoxic stress in brain cells.
  • Natural Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol): contributes to protection of cells from oxidative damage, which increases with age.
  • B-Vitamins, including B1, B3, B6, B8 and B12: these assist in the synthesis of critical neurotransmitters such as dopamine and noradrenaline. Adequate B-vitamin levels help maintain mental alertness and support metabolic processes in brain cells. They work more effectively when Omega-3 levels are sufficient.

Each capsule of Nutramind contains approximately 210 mg of total Omega-3s (with about 165 mg DHA and 32 mg EPA), 20 mg of Ginkgo biloba extract (99% pure), 3 mg phosphatidylserine, Vitamin B3, B6, B1, B8 and 15 mcg Vitamin B12, plus natural Vitamin E.

Description

Brain Health in Older Pets

As dogs and cats age, cognitive function can diminish. Changes may include reduced memory, slower responses, confusion, disrupted sleep patterns, altered social behaviour, less interest in surroundings or difficulties navigating familiar environments. Age-related cognitive decline may also be associated with oxidative stress, reduced neuronal communication, inflammatory processes and lowered capacity of repair mechanisms in brain cells.

Nutritional deficits or reduced absorption of essential fatty acids, vitamins and compounds such as phosphatidylserine can further accelerate decline. Supplying high-quality Omega-3s, antioxidants, phosphatidylserine and B-Vitamins can help support membrane integrity, reduce oxidative damage, maintain neurotransmitter production and sustain synaptic plasticity. This may lead to improvements in alertness, learned behaviours, memory, perception of surroundings and overall mental well-being in senior pets.

Benefits of Using Nutramind

  • Helps support cognitive function and mental clarity in older dogs and cats.
  • May assist in maintaining or improving learning ability in younger animals, especially during training.
  • Contributes to healthy brain cell structure and membrane repair.
  • Provides antioxidant defence that reduces damaging free radicals in neural tissue.
  • Supports neurotransmitter synthesis, which may influence mood, alertness and response.
  • Ethically sourced ingredients, with high purity fish oils and natural additives.

Usage Instructions

Administration is by capsule dosage, with the amount depending on the animal’s weight. Capsules may be given whole or opened and the contents mixed with the pet’s usual food if needed. Regular daily dosing is recommended for continual support, particularly in pets showing signs of ageing brain health decline. Veterinary guidance is advised for those with serious cognitive dysfunction or other medical issues.

Nutramind is formulated with natural compounds and is generally well tolerated. Pets with fish allergies, or those already receiving supplements or treatments affecting brain function, should have veterinary oversight. Avoid exceeding recommended dosages. Store capsules in dry conditions, at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, and keep out of reach of children and other animals.
