Because antibiotic sensitivity varies, this medicine is selected using susceptibility results. Fluoroquinolones are generally reserved for infections that have responded poorly, or are expected to respond poorly, to other antibiotic classes. That helps preserve their usefulness for cases where this type of antibiotic is appropriate.

The third active ingredient in Aurizon Ear Drops is dexamethasone, a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and anti-itch effects. Each millilitre contains 1mg dexamethasone acetate, equivalent to 0.9mg dexamethasone. Inflammation can make the ear canal painful and narrow, and scratching adds further irritation to the surface. Reducing that inflammatory response can help the ear feel more comfortable while the antibacterial and antifungal ingredients work.
