Nutracoat Chews for Dogs — Skin & Coat Supplement

Nutracoat Chews for Dogs are a nutritional supplement designed to promote healthy skin, help reduce dryness and flakiness, and support a glossy, resilient coat. Nutracoat's combination of active nutrients support skin barrier function, internal balance and cellular health.

How Nutracoat Works

Nutracoat is formulated to support several internal systems that contribute to skin health:

  • Barrier support and moisture retention through beneficial lipids (especially omega-3 fatty acids), which help reinforce the skin’s natural protective layer.
  • Reduction of inflammation and irritation by modulating immune responses in the skin and reducing overreaction to minor irritants.Cellular repair and antioxidant protection via biotin and vitamin E, which help maintain healthy skin cells and reduce oxidative stress.
  • Microbiome balance in gut and skin via the inclusion of prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics, which can influence immune signalling and inflammation control beyond the gut.

Together these pathways support healthier, more resilient skin over time, as well as improved coat quality.

Description

Omega-3 Fatty Acids

High-purity fish-derived omega-3s (EPA, DHA) are central to Nutracoat’s formula. These essential fats help regulate inflammatory mediators in the skin, reducing redness and itch. They support the lipid content of the stratum corneum (outer skin layer), which slows moisture loss and reduces sensitivity to external irritants.

Biotin

Biotin (vitamin B7) is essential for keratin and other structural proteins in skin, hair and nails. Adequate biotin supports normal skin renewal and hair regrowth, helping to prevent brittle, dull or flaky fur. In dogs with suboptimal biotin levels, supplementation may help restore normal skin and coat condition.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E acts as a lipid-soluble antioxidant in skin cell membranes. It helps protect against damage by free radicals, supports repair of oxidised lipids, and complements the action of omega-3s in maintaining membrane stability. In skin under stress (for instance due to UV exposure or environmental pollutants), vitamin E helps reduce cellular damage and may lessen irritation.

Prebiotics, Probiotics & Postbiotics

Prebiotics (non-digestible components such as hydrolysed yeast fractions) feed beneficial microbes and support their growth.

Probiotics are live beneficial bacteria (for example Bacillus velezensis) introduced to help influence the microbial populations in gut and possibly systemically.

Postbiotics are the products or metabolites created by probiotics (e.g. short-chain fatty acids, microbial peptides) that may modulate immune responses and barrier function.

A balanced microbiome is increasingly recognised as crucial for regulating inflammation, controlling opportunistic microbes and maintaining immune homeostasis. Because gut and skin microbiomes communicate through systemic immune signalling, supporting one can help the other.

Benefits for Dogs with Skin or Coat Issues

Dogs experiencing dry skin, itch, scratching or unappealing coat texture may see benefits from continued use of Nutracoat Chews. Some of the advantages include:

  • Reduced scratching and irritation due to calmer inflammatory tone in skin
  • Improved skin barrier resilience, meaning less susceptibility to allergens, moisture loss or irritants
  • Better regeneration of skin cells and hair follicles, aided by biotin and vitamin E
  • Support for microbial balance, reducing overgrowth of opportunistic pathogens
  • Enhanced coat condition in terms of softness, shine and density, thanks to internal nutrition support

These improvements often appear gradually, consistent with the natural pace of skin turnover and microbial ecosystem changes.

Dosage & Administration

Nutracoat Chews are intended for daily use. The precise dosage is determined by the dog’s weight (as indicated on the product packaging). The chews can be given either directly or mixed into food. Because the full benefits rely on systemic support, consistent daily administration is encouraged.

Noticeable changes in skin comfort and coat quality typically emerge over weeks. In cases of existing dermatological disease, combining Nutracoat with a veterinary-prescribed regimen may be appropriate; consultation is advisable before introducing any supplement.

These chews are made for dogs and should not be consumed by humans. They are stable when stored within recommended temperature ranges (avoid extremes). Keep them in a securely closed container, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

Stick to the advised dose: more frequent or excessive use will not accelerate effect and may cause imbalance. Should any adverse reaction occur (for example digestive upset or allergic response), discontinue use and seek veterinary advice.

If a dog is pregnant, nursing, on concurrent medications or has existing health conditions, a veterinary consultation is recommended before use.
