Ventipulmin Syrup is used for the treatment of respiratory disease in horses where airway obstruction due to bronchospasm and/or accumulation of mucus.

Ventipulmin Syrup for Horses is formulated with the active ingredient clenbuterol, a potent bronchodilator and mucolytic agent. Clenbuterol works by relaxing the smooth muscles lining the bronchial tubes, effectively dilating them and reducing bronchial constriction. As a mucolytic, it also aids in breaking down and clearing excessive mucus that often accompanies bronchospasm, thereby helping to clear the airways and facilitate better respiration.

Description

Ventipulmin Syrup for Horses

Ventipulmin may only be supplied with a valid veterinary prescription issued by your vet. You should only purchase Ventipulmin if you have or are in the process of arranging such a prescription. See information bar for further details.

Ventipulmin Syrup for Horses is a prescription medication to manage bronchospasm, a common respiratory condition in horses. Bronchospasm is the involuntary contraction of the bronchial muscles, resulting in difficulty in breathing, coughing, and potential disruption in your horse's general wellbeing and performance.

Ventipulmin Syrup is a clear colourless syrup. Each ml contains 25 micrograms clenbuterol hydrochloride as active ingredient plus 1.8 mg methyl parahydroxybenzoate and 0.2 mg propyl parahydroxybenzoate as preservatives.

Ventipulmin Syrup is used for the treatment of respiratory disease in horses where airway obstruction due to bronchospasm and/or accumulation of mucus is a contributing factor and improved mucociliary clearance is desirable. To be used alone or as adjuvant therapy. In particular: 1.Acute sub-acute and chronic infections where the presence of mucus and/or micro-organisms may stimulate bronchospasm or cause airway obstruction and thus increase airway resistance. For example bronchitis bronchiolitis and bronchopneumonia alone or associated with equine influenza and other viral respiratory diseases. 2.Acute sub-acute and chronic respiratory allergies. 3.Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). In cases accompanied by bacterial infection the concurrent administration of antimicrobial agents is recommended.

While Ventipulmin Syrup is primarily designed for bronchospasm, it also has applications in managing other respiratory conditions in horses, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), also known as 'heaves'. It's important to note that while Ventipulmin for Horses brings immediate relief, it should be used as part of an overall management strategy for respiratory health. It's also crucial to consult a Vet before initiating any new treatment to ensure its suitability for your horse.

Ventipulmin Dosage and administration
For Oral Use. Twice daily administration of 4ml Ventipulmin Syrup per 125 kg bodyweight. This is equivalent to twice daily administration of 0.8 micrograms clenbuterol hydrochloride/kg bodyweight.
